Meet our 2021 team!

Hannah Muncal
She/her
Hannah is completing her HBSc. in Environmental Science with a concentration in Geology at the University of Calgary. She is the co-founder of Ecofriendly YYC and has been working with the team for the past four years. Outside of her academics and her extracurriculars, she enjoys spending her time with her friends and family, hiking and backpacking, long-distance biking, painting, and exploring the City of Calgary with her puppy.

Madeline Antony
She/her
Madeline is a fourth year student at the University of Victoria, taking a double major in Biology and Psychology. She is currently completing research in both tree biology and the mental fitness of elite athletes. When she is not at school or in the lab, Madeline enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and reading. She has been a part of the Ecofriendly YYC team since the beginning, and can’t wait to continue providing Calgarians with sustainable tips and environmental education.

Lily Robinson
She/her
Lily is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria. Her passion for the environment stems from her love for living things. She is specifically passionate about anti-speciesism and ecological justice.
When she is not focusing on her academics, Lily loves to read and go snowboarding as often as she could. During the summer, she enjoys jumping in a lake with her extra time!

Tricia Lalic
She/her
Tricia is in her final year in Environmental Science (Chemistry) with an embedded certificate in Sustainability Studies at the University of Calgary. In addition to EcoFriendlyYYC, she is currently working for ChangeYYC, an organization that focuses on the mental health and well being of the most vulnerable Calgarians. Tricia enjoys going on a weekly sunrise hike around Alberta and hopes she can do more outside the province! But with the restrictions in effect, she has been learning how to knit!

Jennifer Pylypiw
She/her
Jenn just completed her Masters degree in Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation from the University of Copenhagen, where she was living for the last three years. She is passionate about environmental justice and making the science behind climate change impacts more accessible to a more diverse group of people. Other passions are scuba diving, petting as many dogs as possible, and enjoying time in the great outdoors with friends and family.
